2020 Tumbled Granite
91 pts. Sommeliers Choice Awards
91 pts. Owen Bargreen, Vinous
Critical Acclaim
"The 2020 Tumbled Granite delivers a plush texture, stony and salty undercurrents alongside melon and pear flavors. This is a delicious wine to consume over the next few years." - Owen Bargreen, Vinous
Tasting Notes
Effusive aromas of peach and cream are complimented by wet stone and floral nuances. On the palate this barrel fermented, medium-full bodied, Roussanne-Viognier blend unfolds silky layers of stone fruit, jasmine, and mineral. While nicely integrated acidity carries into an energetic and lingering finish.
Pairing Notes
Plays well with shellfish, delicate fish or poultry seasoned with aromatic herbs (Tarragon, Thai basil etc.). Avoid spicy foods, as spice-heat will accentuate bitterness.
When To Enjoy
Enjoyable now but will reward patience, cellar for 3-5+ years.
