Tasting Notes
This vintage of Estate Syrah calls on the flagship Double D vineyard to provide a hearty framework for an intense and complete Syrah expression intricately layered with freshness from the Clos CheValle vineyard.
Opening in the glass with notes of coffee bean and plum, giving way to violets, bacon fat and cocoa nib. The full bodied palate is silkened in texture and despite its concentration and power, offers freshness and layers of detail. Finishing with a surge of plum and anchoring gravel tones. Youthfully coiled this wine requires patience and will continue to unfold in years to come.
