2022 Double D Vineyard Malbec
Tasting Notes
Blue fruits, crushed violet, bittersweet chocolate and intriguing sense of gravel-like minerality all combine in the glass. Yeilding a medium-bodied, fresh, yet concentrated, Malbec with lengthy integrated acidity and chewy tannin, notes of cocoanib, oak spice and graphite linger on the refined finish.

"Don’t cry for me Argentina, Washington Malbecs need not take second place to your finest. If you love the grape as a pure varietal, sourced from a single vineyard in an emerging AVA, this is one to try. Blueberries and chocolate, with further accents of coffee grounds and sweet tobacco roll across the tongue. Aging 22 months in 55% new oak barrels brings a spicy tang and suggests that further aging will help to pull it all together." - 93pts Paul Gregutt
"Crushed blueberries, mint leaves and hints of dusty soil and graphite on the nose. Juicy and mellow, it has medium to full body and a silky, almost weightless mouth-feel, finishing sleek and lingering. Already delicious, but will hold, too." - 92pts James Suckling
