Winemaker's Note -
This vintage of Double D Sauvignon Blanc is not shy - threading the needle between pleasant herbal inflused citrus and tropical fruit. Bounding out of the glass with exuberant pink grapefruit, passion fruit and notions of keylime pie. The palate is intense and lively with ethereal weight, offering a refreshing punch of tropical fruit, gooseberry and gravel. The electric finish shines bright with continued layers of fruit and saline.
"A wonderful Sauvignon Blanc, setting a high bar for the grape here in Washington. The ripeness, touch of residual sugar, lees aging and natural acidity are all in sync and on point. Meyer lemon, grapefruit, tangerine and gooseberry fruit, underscored with the vineyard’s typical minerality, make this a style of Sauv Blanc which should have wide appeal." 94pts Paul Gregutt
