"Displaying an inky purple core framed by a luminous, neon red rim, the 2024 Rocky Pond Stratastone Red Wine from Rocky Reach brings together 51% Syrah, 26% Mourvedre, 20% Grenache, and 3% Viognier. Matured for 22 months in 20% new French oak, the nose opens with ripe dark cherries and blackberry compote lifted by underlying streaks of cedary herbs, olive brine, and rich bacon fat. Chalky but polished tannins shape a palate marked by impressive tension across the mid-palate.
