Critic Acclaim "An unusual blend, this deftly amps up the power of the principal Merlot component while keeping the strength and detail of the other two grapes in focus. It's a fruit showcase loaded with black cherries and cassis, backed with the AVA's underlying minerality. The generous use of new French oak (50%) is kept in check while framing the wine perfectly. This wine was still drinking very well on the 4th day after first being opened." - Paul Gregutt

"Aromatic and inviting, it’s got a pleasing dusty character that calls to mind the Cabs from Napa’s Rutherford Bench. Mouthcoating flavors of blue fruits, cassis, shaved chocolate, sandalwood, espresso and a touch of licorice are artfully combined, set against smooth, ripe and persistent tannins. Aged 22 months in one third new French oak barrels, it’s drinking beautifully and may be at its best over the next half decade" - 94pts. Paul Gregutt
The 2022 Domaine CheValle is delicate and floral in character accompanied by aromas of lemon oil, pear and marzipan. The medium body is perfectly balanced with a vibrant, seamless texture that segues into a mouthwatering, ethereal finish. Aged for an extra 6 months on lees. Disgorged December 2024 with 6 g/L dosage.

"Don’t cry for me Argentina, Washington Malbecs need not take second place to your finest. If you love the grape as a pure varietal, sourced from a single vineyard in an emerging AVA, this is one to try. Blueberries and chocolate, with further accents of coffee grounds and sweet tobacco roll across the tongue. Aging 22 months in 55% new oak barrels brings a spicy tang and suggests that further aging will help to pull it all together." - 93pts Paul Gregutt

"This is pure Merlot, smooth as silk and sexy as hell, a powerful and potent style that can push many Cabs out of the way of that burger or rib roast. All of these ’22 Rocky Pond reds are chocolatey wines, instantly likeable, yet structured and nicely layered for aging. This Merlot was aged 22 months in two thirds new oak, and for now the barrel toast dominates. The higher the percentage of new oak, the longer it will take to pull itself together seamlessly. This needs decanting if you’re drinking it any time soon." - 92pts Paul Gregutt

The medium weight palate is juicy and supple, with savory layers of cranberry, crushed rock, green olive, peppercorn and a kiss of oak spice. Tea-like tannins and a sophisticated cut of acidity carries oak-infused mineral notes through to the finish.

Lush nectarine and white peach are complemented by tones of crushed almonds, beeswax and spice box on the nose. Medium-bodied and saline-tinged, the palate is generous with plenty of freshness and a touch of anchoring sweet oak spice that drives the very long finish.

Winemaker's Note -
The 2023 Boushey Syrah unfolds with a beautiful sense of purity and focus. Ripe blackberries, hints of red fruit, green olive and bacon fat define the aromatics. The palate unfolds with finely knit tannins, and lifted red fruit. Pleasant notions of churned earth and oak spice balance the fruitful character of this wine finishing with purity, power and richness.

". . . offers rich nectarine and star jasmine on the nose alongside sweetened gooseberry notes. Just a kiss of sweetness greets you alongside a mooth texture and fantastic length. This is seriously good stuff."
The 2023 Clos CheValle Gewurztraminer is aromatically laden with golden delicious apples, rose petal, lychee and wet rock. An exotic and round expression with well integrated acidity that carries notes of jasmine, crushed rock, rose petal and dried apricot across the palate seamlessly finishing with a lingering touch of saline.

A dry, lip smacking wine bursting with energy. To drive more fruitfulness in this vintage, Riesling hung on the vine until the final week of October allowing for a natural Botyrtis set, driving notes of orange blossom and candied peach on the aromatics, and a concentrated mid-palate.

A departure from the Stratastone G-S-M, this concrete fermented blend of Grenache & Mourvedre celebrates the power of Rhone varietals in the Rocky Reach AVA.
